The Year 3 classes of Lutheran School Wagga Wagga joined us to celebrate Pentecost on Sunday. Interestingly, the church was decorated with red balloons, which tied in well with Mr Weier's message to the children. Thank goodness we don't need to remember a phone number to come to the party! The students participated in most areas of the service which was lovely to see. The skit, "Pentecost Photos" was particularly well done. Pentecost was a memorable day at Bethlehem Wagga this year. During the service, we were privileged to witness the baptism of little Isaac into God's family. And on entering the church, we were greeted with this delightful addition above the altar: In the afternoon, a somewhat enthusiastic group of people gathered at the Pitch and Putt course for a small competition. After the individual groups had played their games, there wasn't a clear winner: instead, we had three! So, a playoff was in order. VICTORIOUS! A few of the participants were caught mid-swing by our photographer - with sincerest apologies for any distraction caused! Concentrate.... Pastor John demonstrating calmness and self-assurance.
