The Bethlehem Lutheran Pitch and Putt Perpetual Trophy has been played for and won once again.  The overall winner of the competition was Dennis, who graciously received the trophy after missing out in the playoffs in 2015; Dawn happily walked away with the ladies' trophy and Steph with the juniors. Carol was congratulated on her cricket score and Rhonda's ensemble was especially recognised with a Fashions on the Field award. Special thanks to our photographer on the day, Pastor Stuart.

Pentecost was a memorable day at Bethlehem Wagga this year. During the service, we were privileged to witness the baptism of little Isaac into God's family. And on entering the church, we were greeted with this delightful addition above the altar: In the afternoon, a somewhat enthusiastic group of people gathered at the Pitch and Putt course for a small competition. After the individual groups had played their games, there wasn't a clear winner: instead, we had three! So, a playoff was in order. VICTORIOUS! A few of the participants were caught mid-swing by our photographer - with sincerest apologies for any distraction caused! Concentrate.... Pastor John demonstrating calmness and self-assurance. Our Fashions in the Field winner - showing style in both dress and swing! Ooooo, so close! Blame it on the paparazzi. It's all in the stance! The most awkward shot of the day? Afternoon tea was very welcome afterwards ...

The Perpetual Bethlehem Lutheran Pitch and Putt Trophy was up for grabs for the second time a couple of weeks ago.  Close on twenty intrepid Wagga Lutherans met out at the Pitch and Putt course, each hoping for some fun and fellowship, and, perhaps, a chance at that trophy. Pastor Mike and Andrew surprised many with their prowess with a golf stick, taking first and second place in the competition and just sneaking the trophy from last year's joint-winner, Des, who came in a close third. To her own amazement, Michelle was the stand-out player of the day, having no real previous experience of the game.  Margaret and Steph shared the wooden spoon but went home happy anyway.  Congratulations, everyone! The gracious winner holds the trophy aloft...

On Sunday afternoon, an athletic group of Wagga Lutherans ventured out onto the Pitch 'n' Putt course at the Wiradjuri Golf Centre, for fellowship, sunshine and a little healthy competition. Reg and Des came away as joint winners of the inaugural Perpetual Bethlehem Lutheran Pitch and Putt Trophy.
